I am sad to announce my dad, Erick Jean-Francois, 86, died today , in his home, Rue Fourchard, # 51, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
He was born on December 6, 1930, in Chambellan, Grande-Anse, Haiti.
In 1962, he married Elucianne Momplaisir; and together they raised 9 sons and daughters, and 10 grandchildren.
Erick was a retired officer from the Haitian Armed Forces, and was particularly known for his commitment to serve.
Funeral services will be held next week in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Memorial donations may be made in Erick’s name to the Chambellan Relief Effort.

My mother drew a distinction between achievement and success. She said that achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that is in you. Success is being praised by others. That is nice but not as important or satisfying. Always aim for achievement and forget about success.-
